The Last Republic Meeting

This was an assignment for my Drawing II class back in spring 2007. The assignment was to take a famous composition, and use it as inspiration for something new, but keeping the same concept.

I choose Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" and replaced the figures with Star Wars characters. The point of the picture is whatever you want it to be My thought process was that a lot of people see Star Wars as not just a movie, or a story, but something much deeper, and almost religious. I took the characters from the story, and placed them into spots I felt fit the same “idea” of The Last Supper.

The characters from left to right:
Left Side, The Republic/Senators: Ask Aak (Senator from Malastare), Mon Mothma (Supreme Commander of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.), Senator Bail Organa (First Chairman and Viceroy of Alderaan), Jar Jar Binks (Senior Representative for Naboo), Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious), Padmé Amidala (Senator from Naboo, Anakins Wife).
The Center: Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vadar).
Right Side, The Jedi: Obi-Wan Kenobi (“Ben”, Anakin’s Trainer/(Distant, Non-Blood-Brother)/Jedi Master/Jedi Council), Ki-Adi-Mundi (Jedi Master/Jedi Council), Yoda (Jedi Master/Jedi Council), Aayla Secura (Jedi Knight), Shaak Ti (Jedi Master/Jedi Council), Mace Windu (Jedi Master/Jedi Council.)
